For my "remastered" version of Cynder's Sickness, should I just edit the old files, or leave them alone and make the remastered version a new story in general?

I'd have to say to start from scratch and loosely follow the original. You've improved writing since then and it would be interesting to compare the two pieces of work
Well, the remastered version isn't really from my improved writing skills. Although many of the edits are what I would've made, the editing isn't my own. Therefor I can't really claim the edits as my own writing style. Although, deviantMIND1 did do a good job in emulating my own style. It will probably be a while before I make my final decision, because I'm gonna wait until deviantMIND1 has made his edits to all of the chapters. That way, I can do it all at once.
